The last 2 years have been a whirlwind for Protoje. Leading the militant band – The Indiggnation – this powerful songwriter and philosophical thinker articulates the righteous anger of an emerging generation. Protoje reports for duty, re-establishing the standard for the decaying art of socially responsible, mentally stimulating lyricism.
After successfully releasing 2 Albums “The Seven Year Itch” and “The 8 Year Affair” which spawned Rasta Love ft Ky-Mani Marley and Kingston Be Wise; which was featured in Grand Theft Auto; Protoje released his third and most acclaimed work to date – Ancient Future.
Protoje’s visibility has steadily increased with articles being written in major publications ahead of his album release, and a major achievement was being named on BBC 1Xtra Hot for 2015 Artist List, as well as 2016 performances at Glastonbury, reading and Leeds festivals. His TV performance on BBC TV’s Jools Holland was a seminal moment.
Currently working on album number 4 and with an extensive European tour planned, the future looks bright for Protoje.
